Style in Rouge

7 For All Mankind denim jacket ($265),
Betsey Johnson sweater dress,
Karen Millen red pumps,
Tory Burch red handbag ($465)

No other color than red has the same force of instant attraction. It beams with power, confidence and edgy sultriness. You will always be noticed wearing this flamy shade, even if there’s just a tinge of it – scarf, belt or even lipstick.

Moschitto Designs tapered cuff, $28,
Betsey Johnson Rio Cherry drop earrings, $40
(at Nordstrom)

MANGO elastic waist belt, $19.99,
MANGO leather waist belt, $49.99

Red is big in both accessories and clothing this season but today I want to pay special attention to the first category - accessories. When you feel that there is something missing and the look doesn’t really wow you adding a splash of color can easily help and red is usually a great option. Very universal and to some extent neutral (yes, it does sound quite paradoxical, but is actually true), red goes with pretty much everything. Surprisingly, or not, it almost never looks “out of the blue” and melts into the outfit pretty seamlessly and even more – brings out the beauty of other colors in your ensemble.

MANGO Shiny bowling handbag, $89.99,
MANGO patent pumps, $84.99

GUESS? Tabari wedges, $89

A pair of red heels and a red handbag is an absolute “must” and not only this Spring/Summer. This classic couple is capable of turning the most predictable and simple outfit into something special and of course elevating an already special ensemble into something extraordinary. If you are not the proud owner of red shoes or a bag yet then you will definitely enjoy the search; there are so many beautiful pieces out there! And while you are on the hunt treat yourself with a pair of red sunglasses or fun red jewelry – you’ll love them!

MANGO Cat eye sunglasses, $29.99
MANGO TOUCH Beetle necklace,$64.99,
GUESS? by Marciano Cabochon stretch bracelet, $68
