Sweet Eyelets

This season eyelets are walking the runways hand in hand with so in-trend lace taking our wardrobes to a whole new level of frill and femininity.

Franco Sarto Olympia espadrille sandal, $79.95,
J. Renee Camelia pump, 84.95
(at Nordstrom)

A bit country-chic, these pretty fabrics are perfect for light spring designs! Sweet, sexy and elegant (what a rare combination!) eyelets work for pretty much any style and occasion. Complex texture with a hint of skin make them an amazing material for evening dresses, while also being great for more casual day time silhouettes.

B44 Dressed by Bailey 44 Getaway dress, $198
(at Nordstrom)
Guess? Annie sleeveless dress, $98

With eyelets, styling is especially important. Often tending to look a bit childish and sometimes too vintage, they can be tricky to wear. The key is to balance them out with more aggressive accessories and wear them with more modern pieces. In the case of an eyelet dress go with big bold jewelry, a spunky bag or unexpected shoes; as for separates, pair it with less delicate materials such as denim or leather.
