Stylish wedges

GUESS? top, wedge sandals, 7 For All Mankind skirt,
MICHAEL Michael Kors handbag, Fendi watch,
Swarovski Heart necklace

The wedge trend is one of the hottest pretty much every Spring and Summer which is no surprise considering how perfect wedges go with the light and skimpy hot weather wardrobe. Cotton sundresses, wide linen pants and slinky rompers – all of them will only benefit from shoes like this. Cork, wooden or with printed canvas, wedges will not only add extra height and length to your legs but will also inject some fun and visual interest to your entire look. And let’s not forget about comfort – wedges are definitely at the top of the “comfy” list.

Digital art

Karen Millen dress, Vicino shoes, Kate Spade handbag,
Roberto Cavalli watch

Digital prints are one of the most spectacular trends of the current and upcoming Fall season. Inspired by 70's pop-culture and executed with the finesse of modern technology they are like a small art exhibit on your body. Colors, shapes and forms in these prints are transformed and altered and even traditional florals convey a completely different futuristic feel.

Karen Millen Butterfly wing print dress, $299

Karen Millen Fluid marble print dress, on sale for $75

Considering the intensity of digital prints there is no need for extra accessories. Styling should be fairly simple and work to showcase the real star of your look. Pick the rest of your outfit literally like you would pick a frame for a picture.

No-postage-required envelope

MICHAEL Michael Kors shift dress, Banana Republic sandals,
BCBG Max Azria  Harlow envelope clutch, GUESS? bracelet,
Roberto Cavalli watch

The clutch is no longer just an evening accessory and has already been a “regular” of day wear for some time. Of course while minis like small wristlets and tiny box clutches are still only appropriate for special occasions, their bigger relatives like the large flap-over is perfect for an elegant yet casual look.

BCBG Max Azria Adela clutch, on sale for $40.80

BCBG Max Azria Metallic envelope clutch, on sale for $46.80
GUESS? by Marciano Kyle zipper clutch, $158
In that sense the envelope clutch is definitely one of the most versatile shapes and one of the hottest ones too. Its trend continues from the current season into Fall and Holiday. Day time options are quite big and roomy so they can fit everything you need. Primarily in leather, envelope clutches come in a variety of colors from neutrals to very bold and bright hues; prints and unexpected hardware are also very in trend.

BCBG Max Azria Harlow laser-cut envelope clutch, $128
BCBG Max Azria Bardot envelope clutch, $98
BCBG Max Azria Snake-embossed envelope clutch, $68

For a night out, opt for a miniature “envelope” in satin, metal mesh or reptile skins. Decorated with lace, crystals and even semi-precious stones a clutch like this will most certainly add a special fine touch to your ensemble.

Sea of turquoise

GUESS? shirt, shoes, earrings,
Hudson jeans, Marc by Marc Jacobs watch

Turquoise is definitely one of the hottest colors this summer; its saturated and clean hue looks stunning in cotton sun dresses, glistening silk blouses and flowy chiffon skirts and even a pair of skinny jeans. So vivid and fresh it brightens up your outfit and brings out the features of your face.

GUESS? by Marciano Leena dress, $178

GUESS? by Marciano The zip pocket skinny jean No.67, $138

Pair it with gold and white or royal blue for an elegant and glamorous look. For a casual but chic outfit choose coral or brown as complementing colors and pick wood and copper jewelry for extra bohemian flare.
GUESS? by Marciano Ariana snake-embossed bib necklace, $78

GUESS? by Marciano Byzantine necklace, $88

GUESS? by Marciano Passy pump, $168

GUESS? by Marciano Resin stone earrings, $58

Turquoise jewelry and accessories are also a huge trend this season. Need a pop of color for that last finishing touch – turquoise is one of the best choices for that. A bag, shoes or a big chunky necklace in this bright hue will highlight the best features of your ensemble and elevate the overall styling to the next level.

Then either pair the dress of your choice with neutral accessories or go bold with bright contrast-hued ones, the idea of one solid color-block of matching shoes, bag and maybe even sunglasses is great too – all depends only on how you feel that day J

Treasure chest

No matter how much jewelry I buy I have come to the conclusion that there is never enough of it. There will always be an outfit that you just don’t have that perfect pair of earrings or a necklace for. The good thing is that nowadays bijou variety is enormous and you can find pretty much whatever you want. Considering that currently it is the time of amazing sales you also can get quite a good amount of goods without spending a fortune.

But here comes another problem – storing all of those treasures. It’s not like they take a lot of space, no, but it can be quite complicated to keep them well organized. I ran out of room in my two jewelry boxes pretty fast, and anyway they were not that great for keeping long necklaces and big cuffs, and earrings were always coiled up together too. Luckily stores like Bed, Bath& Beyond or even Target offer you a great assortment of storage and organizational pieces. I found that nothing can be better for my collection of earrings than the Jewelry doll, and my necklaces have never been more comfortable than hanging on my Jewelry dress, that you simply keep in the closet next to your real clothes. Now all my jewelry is arranged very well and I can see everything that I have at once, so I don’t need to look through bunch of boxes anymore while getting dressed.
